isMintable = false
A mint function exists, but the false setting blocks its execution. The reviewed source has no function to change this setting after initialization.

Limited liquidity can cause substantial price impact depending on trade size. Check the pool data below and the exchange’s final quote. Combined pool values are not an executable trade amount.
What automatic transfer burning means
Polygon WAVY's transfer and transferFrom allocate 0.10% to the zero address and 0.01% to the team address. For a 10,000 WAVY transfer to an ordinary recipient, 10 WAVY goes to the zero address, 1 WAVY to the team and 9,989 WAVY to the recipient. Gas and exchange fees are separate.
The zero-address allocation cannot be transferred back out, producing a burn effect without reducing the recorded totalSupply. The separate burn function that reduces totalSupply is currently blocked by isMintable=false. A portion of each Polygon transfer is allocated to the zero address; circulating WAVY is not burned in its entirety.
Deductions use integer division in the smallest unit, so tiny amounts can round down to zero. Transfer events record the gross amount, which may differ from the actual balance received. These findings apply to the original Polygon contract, not automatically to wrapped tokens on other chains.
The operator retains ownership to manage pool formation and allocation of project-held tokens. Experimental operating policies do not eliminate permission risks or the trading risks of low liquidity.

Ethereum Wormhole wrapped token
Explorer readings identify a Wormhole bridge token with Polygon WAVY as its origin. Minting and burning support bridge transfers. Bridge and upgrade permissions carry separate risks; Polygon’s mint setting does not apply to this token.
